- The meeting room is available to our Government Agency partners, non-profit organizations, and other organizations that promote the safety and well-being of the local citizens.
- Any group using the building will have a designated contact who will take responsibility for:
- Obtaining and returning the key promptly
- Making sure the building is secure and all attendees have left
- Cleaning and damages
- Instructing attendees on parking. Parking in the Station Lot is limited to
the Handicapped and Elderly only. Other spaces are needed for Emergency
Personnel. Please have your guests park on the street or the parking lots
across from the station.
- The designated contact must secure any Fire District Property found in the room from theft or misuse, shut any open interior doors, he/she may need to vacuum the carpet before and after the meeting, and must contact the Fire District promptly if any problems are encountered.
- In general, the room is for training and business meetings, and NOT:
- Private parties
- Sales ventures
- Dinners or banquets (box lunch or snacks are acceptable)
- More than 28 people, larger groups will not be accepted (those already scheduled are acceptable)
Reservations must be made more than 48 hours in advance, and posted on our website calendar. 14 days advance reservations are preferable. The calendar is used to avoid scheduling conflicts. Hotchkiss Fire and North Fork Ambulance have priority for use of the meeting room, and will not be asked to change regular meeting dates to accommodate guest users. One (1) hour mininum spacing is required between groups using the meeting room.
Friends of Firefighters and Ambulance Staff should not ask those members to allow them unscheduled use of the room for any reason. Hotchkiss Fire may have the Marshall eject anyone who is using the building without authorization. Authorization is obtained in the scheduling process, and may prevent unpleasant confrontations with Law Enforcement.
Firefighters and Ambulance personnel routinely use the building for many activities, and should report any misuse of the Meeting Room to the Fire Chief, including the date and time of the incident.
Users of the meeting room must understand that the Fire Station is an emergency facility, and they may be asked to leave should the need arise.
A full set of contacts, rules and use information will be posted on the website and at the building.
